For many students, going from a traditional classroom to learning from home can be a real challenge. Carlsbad Municipal Schools and New Mexico’s Public Education Department have partnered with Graduation Alliance to provide an extra layer of support called ENGAGE New Mexico. This program is for students in grades K-12 and their families who might be struggling with these changes.
Students who choose to participate in the program will get an academic coach to work with them to answer questions, connect them with resources, and develop a plan to get on track and finish the school year strong. This support is completely free for New Mexico students.
Your child’s school has recommended a group of students to participate in this program. A representative from Graduation Alliance/ENGAGE New Mexico may be reaching out to your student through phone calls, emails, text messages to help your child get started with this academic support program.

New Schedule -CECHS 9+10 and CECHS 11+12 Grade Schedules will be in effect on Tuesday 9/8/2020. All CMS has standardized the format to provide parents more consistency. A BIG congratulations to the CECHS Choir's Hallie Dickerson and Hannah Beason who have both won a seat in the 2020 NAfME All-National Honor Choir!!!! We are so proud of these amazing young women and the dedication they've shown to complete the rigorous audition process this Spring... and to get the job done in the middle of a pandemic! Hannah and Hallie are 3-time New Mexico All-State Choir members (hoping to go for 4, if COVID allows!) and their selection from among the nation's participating All-State singers is such an honor to represent our city and our state. Thank you Mrs. Irving for your continued support of our students!
